Chunky Pandey’s Throwback to ‘Vishwatma’ Launch Party Delights Fans

Actor Chunky Pandey recently shared a nostalgic treat for Bollywood fans on social media. He posted a rare video clip from the launch party of his 1992 hit film Vishwatma, giving everyone a peek into the star-studded event that kicked off this action-packed thriller.

The video kicks off with a buzzing crowd at the party. Bollywood legend Dharmendra greets the guests with his signature warmth. You can spot familiar faces like Kiran Kumar, Raza Murad, and Sangeeta Bijlani mingling in the excitement. Things heat up when Dharmendra gives the muhurat clap, signaling the start. Then, the leads—Sunny Deol, Naseeruddin Shah, and Chunky Pandey—make a grand entrance on stage, stealing the show with their energy.

Directed by Rajiv Rai and produced by Gulshan Rai, Vishwatma boasts an impressive cast including Naseeruddin Shah, Sunny Deol, Chunky Pandey, Sonam, the late Divya Bharti (in her Bollywood debut), Jyotsna Singh, Raza Murad, Gulshan Grover, and Amrish Puri. This film made history as the most expensive Indian movie of its time, with major shooting scenes captured in Kenya—the first Bollywood project to film there.

One standout moment? The iconic song "Saat Samundar Paar," shot at Bubbles Discothèque in Nairobi. It became an instant hit and remains a fan favorite even today for its catchy beats and vibrant visuals.

Critics loved Vishwatma for its tight screenplay and thrilling action sequences. The film raked in over ₹95 million at the box office, landing as the sixth highest-grossing Indian movie of 1992. No wonder it’s still remembered as a classic in Bollywood action films.

Shifting gears, Chunky Pandey is currently chilling in Goa, soaking up some well-deserved relaxation. On Sunday, he flooded his official Instagram with pictures and videos from his latest beach getaway. He’s having a blast in South Goa with his buddy, luxury real estate expert Suraj Morajkar. Dressed in colorful beachwear, Chunky flashes his wide smile against the stunning ocean backdrop.

In the caption, the Housefull star wrote, “Beachcombers or Treasure Hunters South Goa and it’s Breathtaking Beaches keep calling me Back.” Fans are loving this mix of old-school Bollywood nostalgia and his fun vacation vibes—talk about a perfect weekend scroll!
