Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has strongly condemned Israel’s recent attack on Doha, calling it a shocking act of state terrorism that crosses all lines. Speaking at a key preparatory meeting for the Arab-Islamic Emergency Summit in Qatar, he described the strike as a major escalation and a direct assault on Qatar’s sovereignty, putting the entire region’s peace at risk.
The PM didn’t hold back, saying the attack hits right at the heart of mediation efforts—something Qatar, along with Egypt and the United States, has been pushing hard to stop the ongoing war. “This isn’t just an attack on our land; it’s an attack on the very idea of peaceful talks,” he emphasized.
He pointed out that the assault led to civilian deaths, breaking international law and the UN Charter. Sheikh Mohammed slammed the Israeli government’s extreme stance, which he said shows their refusal to go for peaceful solutions. Qatar stands firm, he added, and will use every legal tool under international law to protect its sovereignty.
In a show of unity, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gheit expressed full support for Qatar. Meanwhile, OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha warned that the strike seems designed to spark a bigger war and throw the Middle East into more chaos. As tensions rise in the Israel-Qatar conflict, the world watches closely for what comes next.
