Tragic Truck Accident in Indore Leaves Two Dead and Nine Injured

A horrific road accident shook Indore in Madhya Pradesh on Monday evening, claiming two lives and injuring nine others. The chaos unfolded when a speeding truck rammed into several vehicles on Kalani Nagar Road, dragging a bike for about 500 meters.

Police say the incident happened around 7:30 pm under the Aerodrum Police Station area. The truck driver, who was heavily drunk, lost control and plowed through traffic until Bada Ganpati Crossing. Eyewitnesses described a terrifying scene as the truck caught fire from the front after crushing the bike.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-1) Krishna Lalchandani confirmed to that the driver was inebriated and is now in custody. "He underwent a medical test to check his alcohol levels," the officer added. Both victims who died were men, and among the nine injured, three are in serious condition fighting for their lives.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav jumped into action right away. He ordered top-notch medical care for the injured and full support for the families. The Additional Chief Secretary (Home) is heading to Indore for a detailed probe, and the CM has kicked off a quick inquiry into why heavy vehicles like this truck were on city roads before 11 pm.

Yadav assured everyone he’s staying in close touch with the Indore administration. "We won’t let any slip-ups happen in treating the injured, and the state government stands firmly with all those affected," he said.

This Indore truck accident highlights the dangers of drunk driving and city traffic rules. Authorities urge drivers to stay sober and follow road safety norms to prevent such tragedies. (With inputs from )
