In a major update on the tragic Delhi BMW crash, a Patiala House court in New Delhi has sent accused Gaganpreet Kaur to two days of judicial custody. The Delhi Police produced her before Duty Judicial Magistrate First Class Akanksha Singh at the judge’s residence on Monday. This comes right after the shocking incident that claimed one life and left another fighting for recovery.
The court also issued a notice on Gaganpreet Kaur’s bail application. Her lawyer, senior advocate Vikas Pahwa, argued against the judicial remand, pointing out a 10-hour delay in filing the FIR. On the other side, advocate Ishan Dewan represented the victims and highlighted several contradictions in the facts of the case. The bail hearing is now set for September 17, when Gaganpreet Kaur will be produced in court again.
