Mumbai, Maharashtra: On his 75th birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received warm wishes from Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who hailed the leader for bringing development to every corner of India. Speaking to reporters, Goyal called Modi the country’s most popular leader and credited him with lifting India to new heights of progress.
"PM Modi has made sure that growth touches every single citizen," Goyal said. He highlighted key reforms like GST, which have simplified life for millions across the nation. "It’s a joy to see such a beloved figure steering India forward," he added.
To mark PM Modi’s 75th birthday, a special 15-day nationwide campaign called Seva Pakhwada launched today. Organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), it runs from September 17 to October 2, ending on Gandhi Jayanti. Expect blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and exhibitions showcasing the central government’s big wins in areas like infrastructure and welfare.
Union Minister Bhupender Yadav announced the initiative, emphasizing community service as a fitting tribute to Modi’s vision.
Adding to the celebrations, the National Award-winning film Chalo Jeete Hain gets a special re-release across India starting today. This inspiring movie pays homage to Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy: "Bas wahi jeete hain, jo doosro ke liye jeete hain" (Only those truly succeed who live for others). It’s a perfect nod to Modi’s service-oriented leadership.
From across the globe, US President Donald Trump also joined in, calling PM Modi to wish him a happy birthday. Trump praised Modi’s efforts and thanked him for backing peace talks to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: "Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job. Narendra: Thank you for your support on ending the War between Russia and Ukraine! President DJT."
PM Modi responded warmly, thanking Trump and reaffirming his commitment to strengthening the India-US partnership. "Like you, I am fully dedicated to taking our Comprehensive Global Partnership to new heights," Modi said.
