In Saraikela, Jharkhand, JMM MP Joba Majhi from Singhbhum shared warm birthday wishes for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday. Speaking to reporters, she prayed for his long life and ongoing dedication to serving India’s villages and cities. “I wish Prime Minister Modi a long and healthy life. May he keep working hard for our country,” Majhi said with a smile.
When questions popped up about opposition parties protesting on the PM’s special day, Majhi kept it personal. “This is just my own wish. I have no connection with what the opposition does,” she added calmly, staying respectful amid the political buzz.
Majhi didn’t shy away from chatting about the central government’s latest ‘Swasth Nari – Sashakt Parivar’ campaign, aimed at boosting women’s health in India. She praised the focus on women’s well-being but called out the government for rebranding old ideas. “This isn’t new at all. We’ve had Poshan Pakhwada for women every year. They’re just giving old schemes fancy new names for show,” she pointed out sharply.
She shared these thoughts during the lively 50th anniversary celebrations of the Azad Club in Saraikela. As the chief guest at a two-day football tournament on Kandra Raipur Football Ground, Majhi cheered on the players and the crowd of excited locals and sports fans. The event drew a big turnout, highlighting the love for community sports in Jharkhand.
Majhi urged everyone to embrace sports for building strength and unity. “Sports don’t just make you fit—they bring people together and create strong community ties,” she said, inspiring nods from the audience. She also pushed for more government support in rural sports infrastructure to help young talents shine. “If we give our youth the right training and facilities, they can compete at national and international levels,” Majhi added, earning big applause from sports enthusiasts eager for grassroots development in Jharkhand.
