Udhayanidhi Stalin, who also shines as an actor and producer in Tamil cinema, visited Robo Shankar’s residence to honor his mortal remains. He shared his grief on social media in Tamil, saying the news hit him hard. "Robo Shankar was truly special," Udhayanidhi wrote. He remembered how the comedian started on stage, won hearts on TV, and brought real laughs to Tamil movies. The Deputy Chief Minister offered condolences to Robo Shankar’s family, friends, the film community, and fans.
Dhanush also reached the residence looking visibly upset. He spent time consoling the grieving family members, who were still reeling from the loss.
Many actors and film professionals across Tamil cinema have expressed their sadness over Robo Shankar’s passing. The 46-year-old comedian, known for his lively roles, was battling a serious abdominal issue at a private hospital in Chennai when he passed away.
Robo Shankar leaves behind his wife Priyanka and daughter Indraja, who made her mark acting with Vijay in the hit film Bigil. His body is at his home right now for fans and well-wishers to pay respects. The last rites will happen on Friday afternoon.
