Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent address to the nation, urging people to turn the latest GST reforms into a “festival of savings” this Navratri season.

In Jodhpur, Shekhawat told reporters that Modi’s cuts to GST tax slabs on everyday essentials will ease the burden on families across India. These changes promise real relief for consumers and a boost for traders too.

“Starting from the first day of Navratri and through the next nine days, let’s celebrate the savings every family gets from lower GST on daily items like a true festival,” Shekhawat said. He added that traders must share these benefits with customers, and BJP workers will drop by shops to thank those who do.

Shekhawat also pushed for buying “Made in India” products to support the nation’s growth. “Whenever you shop, pick Indian-made goods with pride. Let’s weave ‘Make in India’ into our everyday choices and favor local products,” he encouraged.

He drew inspiration from how Indians united during the COVID-19 crisis under Modi’s calls. “When the PM asked for ‘Janata Curfew,’ the whole country stayed home. When he suggested lighting lamps for our frontline heroes, homes glowed like Diwali. Now, his push for swadeshi and self-reliance will spark the same enthusiasm,” Shekhawat noted.

These GST reforms go beyond money matters, Shekhawat explained—they’re building a stronger, more independent India. “This drive will lead us to Atmanirbhar Bharat through swadeshi, motivating every citizen to join the self-reliance vision,” he said.

With Navratri underway, the festival now holds double meaning: spiritual worship and economic wins from GST savings.
