Shilpa took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with her fans about saying goodbye to Bastian Bandra. She wrote, “This Thursday marks the end of an era as we bid farewell to one of Mumbai’s most iconic destinations. Bastian Bandra has given us so many unforgettable memories and nights that shaped the city’s nightlife.” She also promised a special farewell event for loyal patrons, filled with nostalgia and fun, emphasizing that the restaurant’s legacy will live on through a new location—Bastian at the Top—where their popular Thursday night event, Arcane Affair, will continue.
Bastian Bandra, co-owned by Shilpa Shetty and restaurateur Ranjit Bindra, originally opened in 2016 before moving to its current Bandra location in 2023. The restaurant is famous for its artistic decor and vibrant ambiance, making it a favorite for many Mumbai food lovers.
However, the actress and her family are also facing serious legal challenges. Earlier, Shilpa and Raj Kundra were booked by Mumbai’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) over allegations of fraud. The complaint involves a businessman named Deepak Kothari, who claimed the couple cheated him of over INR 60 crore. The money, intended for business expansion between 2015 and 2023, was allegedly diverted for personal expenses, according to police reports.
The case is still under investigation, and authorities are looking into the allegations. Despite the legal issues, Shilpa continues to be a beloved celebrity with a strong fan following, and her decision to close the restaurant marks a significant chapter in her life.
