Manoj Muntashir Shares Emotional Reminder of PM Modi’s Heartfelt Letter to His Mother

In a touching social media post, well-known lyricist and poet Manoj Muntashir shared a deeply personal memory of recording a special letter written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his mother, Heeraben Modi, passed away. This emotional tribute reveals a softer, more personal side of the Prime Minister and highlights the special bond they shared.

The letter, which spans 17 pages, is full of gratitude, love, and memories of Heeraben Modi. Narendra Modi wrote it as a heartfelt homage to his mother’s life and the values she imparted to him. Muntashir had the honor of recording this letter in his voice, and he describes a powerful emotional experience during the process.

Sharing on Twitter (X), Muntashir wrote, “After his mother’s passing, PM Narendra Modi wrote a 17-page letter for her filled with love and gratitude. I got the chance to record it, and honestly, I couldn’t hold back my tears.” He added that the letter shows Heeraben was not just Modi’s mother but also his guide, his strength, and his first teacher.

During the recording, Muntashir explains that he had to pause multiple times because the emotions were overwhelming. “We had to stop every couple of lines because I couldn’t control my tears,” he said. The experience was so moving that it felt as if he had lost his own mother.

This emotional reflection comes at a time when political tensions are rising, especially related to the Voter Adhikar Yatra held by the INDIA coalition in Bihar. During a rally in Darbhanga, some controversial and abusive language was used against PM Modi’s late mother, Heeraben, which drew widespread criticism. Muntashir subtly condemned such insults, stating, “Any attempt to insult that sacred bond between a mother and son is beyond sad.”

The video he shared on social media, from the handle ‘Modi Story,’ shows how Muntashir was asked to lend his voice to the PM’s heartfelt letter. He recounts receiving a call asking him to record the letter and quickly agreeing. However, as he began, the emotional weight of Modi’s words hit him hard.

Muntashir explains, “Reading each page took minutes because I was overwhelmed with emotion. Each word in the letter is filled with compassion and respect for Heeraben. I felt as if I had lost my own mother during those moments.” The letter gives rare insight into Prime Minister Modi’s deep love and grief over Heeraben’s passing on December 30, 2022, in Ahmedabad. Heeraben Modi was 99 years old and lived in Raysan village near Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Modi was often seen visiting her during his trips to the state.

This heartfelt tribute reminds us of the strong emotional bond between a mother and son, and it brings to light a softer, more personal side of Narendra Modi that many admire.
