Jon Bon Jovi can’t get enough of his first grandchild. The 63-year-old rock star shared his excitement in a new TikTok clip, talking about his son Jake Bongiovi’s life with actress Millie Bobby Brown.
Just weeks before their first wedding anniversary on September 21, Jake, 23, and the 21-year-old Stranger Things star announced they had adopted a baby girl. The couple shared the happy news on Instagram back on August 21, according to People magazine.
The clip comes from an upcoming episode of the Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast. Bon Jovi lit up as he described the moment: “Crazy, but great. Wonderful. They adopted a girl and we met the baby, obviously, and immediately that becomes your grandchild. It’s beautiful, I want to see pictures like every day. I’m that pain in the butt guy already. It’s cool.”
Earlier in the video, Bon Jovi opened up about why he gave his full blessing to Jake and Millie’s marriage. The pair tied the knot in a secret ceremony back in May 2024, surrounded by their closest family, including Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea Bongiovi. That’s after romance rumors first sparked between them in June 2021.
“She’s a sweetheart and she’s a hard worker,” Bon Jovi said of Millie Bobby Brown. “I tell her all the time how much I admire her because her work ethic is unbelievable. They got married very young, but we blessed it because we get it. They are sort of mature beyond their years.”
He added that Millie’s family has been together since her parents married young, too. “She comes from a family where her parents are still together and they married very young. Her and Jake fell in love and we just thought, OK, we will support this. And it’s working out.”
