In a thrilling showdown at the Rajasthan Polo Club, the Jaipur Polo Team pulled off a nail-biting 6-5 win over the Aravali Polo Team to claim the Gen Amar Singh Kanota Cup. The match went down to the wire in the fifth chukker, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

The game stayed deadlocked at 5-5 through the first four chukkers, with both sides battling fiercely. Aravali’s defenders Juan Martin Juri, Hurr Ali, and Kr Kuldeep Singh Rathore put up a tough fight against Jaipur’s sharp attackers, HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh and Lance Watson. Every goal felt like a hard-fought prize, making the crowd roar with excitement.

South African polo star Lance Watson stole the show, netting three goals and sealing the victory with that crucial golden goal. Jaipur’s captain, HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh—who earned the ‘Icon of India’ title from The Leela last year—added two key strikes, while Angad Kalaan chipped in with one. Their cool heads under pressure made all the difference in this intense polo match.

The Jaipur Polo Team lives up to its royal roots, blending precision, teamwork, and pure passion for the sport. Rooted in Jaipur’s storied traditions, these dedicated players chase excellence on the field, swinging their mallets with pride and determination.

Fresh off recent triumphs, the team just won the Sawai Man Guard Cup against Carysil Polo and the Chinkara Cup over the Kognivera Stallions Polo Team. This latest polo victory cements their spot as a powerhouse in Rajasthan polo circles.
