A shocking attack on a police team in Madhya Pradesh has left a dedicated officer fighting for his life. In Vidisha district, near Bhopal, Head Constable Bhim Singh Kirar suffered a severe head injury late Wednesday night while responding to a fight call in the Ganjbasoda City area.
The Dial 112 emergency response team rushed to the scene to calm things down amid a chaotic crowd. But things turned violent fast—one of the people there, Dharmendra Ahirwar, suddenly swung a wooden stick at Kirar, striking him hard on the head. The brave officer collapsed right away.
Rescuers acted quickly, getting Kirar to a nearby hospital before transferring him to Vidisha Medical College. As of Thursday, doctors say his condition remains critical, and colleagues are keeping a close watch.
Eyewitnesses called the brawl spot tense with people everywhere, but no one saw the assault coming. Ahirwar bolted immediately after the hit, and police launched a manhunt that stretched into the night. Teams scoured the area, but by afternoon Thursday, he was still on the run.
Cops in Madhya Pradesh are ramping up the search and asking locals for tips on this police officer attack. “Help us catch this guy,” they’re urging the public.
The incident has rattled the community and law enforcement, shining a light on the dangers emergency responders face in heated situations like this Vidisha district brawl. Senior officers slammed the “brutal and cowardly” strike—one station mate at Ganjbasoda put it bluntly: “This was a brutal and cowardly attack on a man who was simply doing his duty.”
Police have filed an FIR and started legal steps to hold Ahirwar accountable. They’ve vowed strict action once he’s nabbed and promised better protection for officers on the job.
