Neil Nitin Mukesh talks about his evolution as actor over close to 2 decades of career
Mumbai, September 4 — Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is excited about his upcoming movie, “Ek Chatur Naar,” and he also shared how he has grown as an actor over his 18-year career.
In an interview during the film’s promotional event in Mumbai’s Andheri area, Neil talked about his personal and professional growth. He said that over the years, he has become more mature and experienced, which helps him bring more depth to his acting. Neil believes that every day is a learning experience and that life’s ups and downs add to his skills as an artist.
Neil shared, “I’ve seen a lot of growth in myself as an actor. I still feel there’s always something new to learn. Every experience in my life, both struggles and successes, helps me understand human emotions better. All these things add to my ability to connect with the audience.”
The actor recalled that he’s very lucky to have started his career with director Sriram Raghavan, who has won the National Award twice. Neil made his debut in the film “Johnny Gaddaar” and has since worked with over a dozen directors in many regional languages across India.
He also spoke about his new film “Ek Chatur Naar,” which is directed by Umesh Shukla. Neil said that he had admired Umesh’s work after watching his film “Oh My God” and always wanted to work with him. When the chance finally arrived, Neil was eager to take it. He described Umesh as a technically skilled and excellent director, who took great care of everyone on set.
Neil described the filmmaking process as intense but rewarding. He fondly remembers the 40 days spent on set and said it was one of the most memorable experiences of his career. He admitted he’s eager to relive those moments and hopes to work with Umesh again soon.
The film “Ek Chatur Naar,” produced by T-Series, is scheduled to release on September 12, 2025. Neil is hopeful for what’s next and excited for his fans to see his new role.
