The match unfolded at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium on Thursday night, giving UP Yoddhas their second straight win and a strong send-off from their home leg.
Bhavani Rajput led the charge for UP Yoddhas with an impressive 10 raid points, backed by solid contributions from Gagan Gowda (6 points), Sumit Sangwan (4), Ashu Singh (4), and Guman Singh (3). What made this game stand out was how UP Yoddhas blended sharp raids and tough defense, keeping the Bulls on their toes throughout.
The first half stayed tight, with Bengaluru Bulls holding a slim 20-19 lead at the break. But UP Yoddhas flipped the script in the second half, racking up 17 points through seven key tackles and two all-out waves that cleared the Bulls’ side. This comeback showed real grit in a match that went down to the wire.
Stats highlight UP’s edge: they hit a 44.68% raid strike rate and 38.3% raid success rate, including one Super Raid. On defense, their 42.86% tackle success rate topped the Bulls’ 36.67%, with UP notching 12 successful tackles overall. After starting the season strong on defense, UP Yoddhas now carry that momentum into the Chennai phase, brimming with confidence.
Looking ahead, UP Yoddhas take on Gujarat Giants on September 29 in New Delhi. Meanwhile, Bengaluru Bulls face Puneri Paltan on October 2.
