In Agartala, Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Saha honored Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary, calling him a dedicated politician and patriot who always put India’s culture, traditions, and people’s development first. Speaking at an event in Muktadhara Auditorium, Saha shared how the nation and state now follow the path Upadhyaya envisioned.
Saha praised Upadhyaya’s sacrifices for the country, noting that learning more about him sharpens the mind. He drew parallels to other Indian legends like Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Swami Vivekananda, who died young yet left ideas that continue to inspire generations. “Upadhyaya stressed honesty as our guiding principle,” Saha said, urging everyone to push forward with integrity.
The chief minister tied Upadhyaya’s vision to today’s leadership, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi echoes it by promoting friendship, growth, faith, and hard work for all. Modi ensures government projects reach even the most remote corners of society, and Tripura’s team works the same way to drive development.
To make this happen, Saha highlighted good governance efforts in two phases, including the launch of the Amar Sarkar web portal. This online tool tackles everyday issues for common people, especially in rural areas, delivering real benefits—just like Upadhyaya dreamed. “Our government delivers on its promises,” Saha added, which builds public trust. He pointed out how people now have strong faith in Modi, who steers India ahead while honoring thinkers like Mukherjee and Upadhyaya.
The event drew notable guests, including Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharya, Paschim Tripura’s In-Charge Sabhadhipati Biswajit Shil, ICA Department Secretary PK Chakraborty, State-level Cultural Advisory Committee Vice Chairman Subrata Chakraborty, ICA Director Bimbisar Bhattacharya, and other officials and representatives.
