As Bihar’s assembly elections heat up, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) state unit took a key step forward. On Sunday, they unveiled a 45-member Election Campaign Committee to gear up for the polls.

This comes right after Union Home Minister Amit Shah rallied party workers. He met with BJP members from the Mithila and Tirhut regions in Samastipur. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Shah highlighted the team’s dedication. “All workers are committed to a grassroots push with Modi Ji’s vision and the mission of Developed Bihar,” he wrote. Their goal? Secure a massive win for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the upcoming Bihar elections.

Shah shared more details from the meeting. “Today, in Samastipur, Bihar, I held a meeting with BJP workers from the district level in the Mithila and Tirhut regions regarding the upcoming elections and gave appropriate instructions,” he said. He stressed that workers from 12 organizational districts would reach every resident, spreading Modi’s vision and pushing for a developed Bihar to clinch a strong NDA majority.

The day before, Shah fired up crowds in Araria. He framed the Bihar elections as a fight against infiltrators. “This election is about driving out infiltrators from all of Bihar,” Shah declared. He promised that if the NDA wins with a two-thirds majority, the BJP would remove every last one from Bihar’s sacred land.

Shah didn’t hold back on his attacks against the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He accused Lalu Yadav of focusing only on making his son, Tejashwi Yadav, the next Chief Minister. “For Rahul and Lalu, this election is about making their party win. It’s about making Lalu’s son the Chief Minister,” Shah said. “But for all of us BJP workers, this election is about driving out infiltrators from all of Bihar.”

He went further, slamming the Congress and RJD for years of corruption. Shah claimed Lalu and his allies “looted Bihar” through scams and frauds during their time in power at the center and state levels. In contrast, he pointed out that the Modi government, in power for 11 years, faces zero corruption allegations from opponents.
