Prime Minister Narendra Modi is kicking off the celebrations today by inaugurating the new Delhi BJP headquarters on Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg. The event lines up perfectly with Saptami, the seventh day of the vibrant Navratri festival, adding an extra layer of festivity to this big moment for the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Delhi unit.

Party leaders are buzzing with excitement, calling it a game-changer that boosts morale and signals a fresh start for BJP workers across the capital. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva described the day as historic, especially after years of operating from temporary spaces. “This isn’t just a building—it’s the fulfillment of a dream,” he said, thanking PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP national president J.P. Nadda for making it happen.

The foundation stone for the office was laid by Nadda back on June 9, 2023, and now it’s ready to serve as a hub for party growth. Sachdeva pointed out that all 14 organizational districts in Delhi now boast their own offices, part of the BJP’s nationwide push to strengthen its grassroots network.

A havan puja kicked off the proceedings, with the full inauguration ceremony set for Modi’s arrival. Delhi leader Rekha Gupta, who called herself the chief minister in her remarks, shared her pride: “This new office has lifted the spirits of thousands of BJP karyakartas, and I’m thrilled their long-held dream is coming true.” BJP minister Ashish Sood echoed that, saying the space stands as a symbol of the party’s dedication to its dedicated cadre. “As a worker-driven people’s organization, we see these offices as motivators for public service,” he added.

BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat highlighted how timely this is, with the party holding power in Delhi. “Getting a permanent home is a huge step forward,” she noted.

Expect a massive turnout, with thousands of BJP workers joining top brass like J.P. Nadda, Union ministers, MPs, MLAs, councillors, and local volunteers. It’s shaping up to be a lively gathering that underscores the BJP’s commitment to its base in the heart of India’s capital.
