Himachal : Farewell ceremony held on retirement of Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena

In Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, officials gathered Tuesday for a heartfelt farewell to retiring Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena. The Secretariat Administration department hosted the event at the State Secretariat to mark his long career in public service.

Saxena reflected on Himachal Pradesh’s impressive growth since its formation, crediting it to the teamwork of residents, leaders, officers, and staff. He highlighted the state employees’ commitment, noting how they deliver top-notch work even in tough weather like heavy rains or snow. “The people here are hardworking and honest,” Saxena shared, adding that he always felt at home in Himachal Pradesh, like part of a big family. He wrapped up by wishing the state and its people continued success and happiness.

Additional Chief Secretary KK Pant stepped up to commend Saxena’s outstanding contributions. He presented a token of appreciation and wished him good health for years to come.

Secretary Rakesh Kanwar of the Secretariat Administration kicked off the ceremony with a warm welcome for Saxena.

The event also honored other retiring staff from the secretariat: Section Officer Umesh, Supervisor Murari Lal, and Caretaker Rupinder Singh. Everyone praised their dedicated service and sent them off with best wishes.

Senior officers and employees from the State Secretariat joined the gathering to celebrate the occasion. ()
