Police in India have seized a batch of balloons printed with Pakistani flags that were being sold hidden inside biscuit packets. The unusual discovery happened in Unhel Nageshwar town in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district.
It all started Tuesday when local kids bought some biscuits from a nearby grocery store. When they opened the packets at home, they found balloons inside featuring the Pakistani flag and Urdu writing that read “Jashn-e-Azadi Pakistan – 14 August,” marking Pakistan’s Independence Day.
The children’s parents quickly alerted authorities. Station in-Charge Ravindra Parashar from Central Kotwali told reporters that shop owners Neeraj Singhal and Dheeraj Singhal admitted to selling the balloons. The brothers said they got the stock from suppliers in Maharashtra, Delhi, and another location.
Officers grabbed the entire supply of these Pakistani flag balloons during the raid. No one has been arrested yet, but police are digging deeper into where the items came from and how they ended up for sale in India.
This quirky incident has sparked curiosity online, with many wondering about the mix-up between everyday snacks and international symbols. Investigations continue as authorities aim to prevent similar surprises.
