Dotasra remarks against RSS and BJP are inappropriate: Rajasthan Minister

Rajasthan’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sumit Godara didn’t hold back when he slammed Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra over his recent comments. Godara called the remarks “inappropriate and disrespectful,” especially since they came on Dotasra’s own birthday.

Talking to reporters in Jaipur on Wednesday, Godara urged Dotasra to use the occasion for some self-reflection. “On your birthday, pledge to fix your behavior and stop those baseless attacks,” he said. “This is a time to think positive, not spread negativity.”

Godara jumped to defend Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting how Modi earned three straight terms as India’s leader through sheer public support. He contrasted that with former PM Manmohan Singh, whom he accused of getting “suddenly elevated” to the top job without a real public mandate.

The minister also praised the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) strong roots in its dedicated workers. “BJP stands tall because of its hardworking karyakartas,” Godara noted. He pointed to Modi’s journey from humble starts to Gujarat chief minister and now national PM. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma follows a similar path, rising from a committed party volunteer to lead the state with fresh energy.

Godara stood firm in support of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) too. He said the group has won the hearts of millions through its nonstop work on nation-building and community service. “Today, thousands of RSS volunteers push for ‘One India, Best India,'” he added. “Dotasra’s harsh words against them and their efforts are way out of line.”

Wrapping up, Godara gave Dotasra some birthday advice: “Make real resolutions this year. Recognize the solid work from PM Modi and CM Bhajan Lal Sharma instead of endless criticism. Positive politics helps us all.”
