Mumbai actress Aahana Kumra recently opened up about her bold step into the world of reality TV after getting evicted from the hit show “Rise and Fall.” For years, she dodged these intense formats, but this time, she decided to face her fears head-on.

In a candid chat with , the star of films like “Lipstick Under My Burkha” and “Khuda Hafiz” explained her long hesitation. “I’ve been running away from captive reality shows for so long,” Aahana said. She kept turning down calls and meetings, worried she couldn’t handle the pressure or even “survive” the experience. In fact, she’d never even watched one herself, so she wasn’t sure if it would click for her.

What changed? Simple curiosity. Aahana wanted to dive into a fresh format she’d never tried. “I always wondered why people get so hooked on reality shows—they’ve been popular for nearly 20 years,” she shared. “I needed that first-hand experience to see what makes fans so emotionally invested.” Joining “Rise and Fall” let her explore that firsthand, from luxury mansion life to tough basement challenges, switching between ruler and worker roles.

As for her eviction, Aahana saw it coming. After more than three weeks on the show—the first reality TV gig of her career—she braced herself around week three. “Once the nominations dropped before the fall, I knew we were out,” she admitted. Audience votes sealed the deal, but she went in prepared for the twist.

Aahana’s story highlights why many stars hesitate before jumping into reality shows like “Rise and Fall,” but her takeaway? Stepping out of your comfort zone can reveal a lot.
