Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly shown that his top priority is helping people.
After the deadly Gujarat earthquake in 2001, he became chief minister of Kutch and set about rebuilding the whole district. With his guidance, Kutch turned from a shattered region into a thriving center for industry, trade, agriculture and tourism.
Years later, when Russia invaded Ukraine, Modi acted quickly to protect Indian citizens abroad. Operation Ganga, launched in 2022, safely returned almost 18,000 Indians—including students—to their homes in India. The operation was watched around the world and highlighted Modi’s hands‑on leadership.
Bharatbhai Sanghvi, a Kutch activist, said, “Modi has always put service to humanity and public welfare above everything else. He devoted himself to rebuilding Kutch after the 2001 quake.”
Uday Mahurkar, former information commissioner, added, “Under Modi’s rule, Kutch became one of India’s fastest‑growing districts.”
Medical student Bhargavi Patel, who came back from Ukraine after Operation Ganga, recalled, “Modi kept the safety of Indians front and center. The evacuation showed how committed he is to his people.”
From restoring a disaster‑hit district to bringing Indians home from a global crisis, Modi’s record shows a consistent focus on winning the trust of the nation.
