Karachi, Pakistan – Ten people lost their lives in a series of gunfire incidents that unfolded over a three‑hour stretch on Saturday. The violence, reported by ARY News, spread across several city districts, leaving residents on edge.

In Orangi Town, a shopkeeper fought back when a robber forced his way into a local LPG store. The shopkeeper twisted the robber’s arm and started shooting. The attacker, named Rahim, died later from his wounds, and a second accomplice fled the scene. Police say Rahim has a record of several prior arrests for murder and robbery.

Around the same time, a man riding a motorcycle was shot two times in the head near Sherpao Colony in Landhi. Two unknown gunmen chased him and fired at him. Police suspect this was a targeted killing, and investigators are still on the case.

In Bakra Piri, Malir, police clashed with an extortionist. The suspect, Ghulam Qadir, had recently fired weapons at a builder’s shop. Police seized his mobile phone and other weapons and are working with the Samad Kathiwari underground group to solve the case.

In New Karachi, a police officer was injured when robbers fired at him. An accused person was arrested and taken to hospital. Meanwhile, locals in North Nazimabad captured a robber after a violent confrontation and handed him over to authorities.

A tragic incident in F.B. Area Block 14 claimed the life of a three‑year‑old girl who drowned in a water pail. Police are investigating whether it was an accidental death or foul play, but the case remains open.

Earlier that day, a stray bullet at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) killed a woman and injured a passerby named Abdul Razzaq. The gunmen fled, and police are actively searching for them.

The series of shootings highlights how widespread gun violence is in Karachi, with arrests and investigations continuing across the city. Residents are urged to stay alert and report suspicious activity to help authorities curb the rising crime.
