Patna, Oct. 6 – Bihar’s opposition chief, Tejashwi Yadav, called the state’s newly announced assembly‑election dates “a trumpet of change.” The RJD leader said the dates mark a turning point that will be remembered for years.

“We must all remember this date,” Yadav told reporters. “It will be written in golden letters as the start of Bihar’s bright future, transformation, development, and progress.”

He urged voters to rally behind the INDIA bloc. “The people have already declared victory,” he said. “Now every Bihari must bring their heart and energy to unite and form an INDIA government.”

The younger voters, who make up the biggest group in the state, will play a decisive role. “This time, the youth will vote to end unemployment,” Yadav said. “What the past government failed to achieve in two decades, we can finish in 20 months. With everyone’s help, we can build a better Bihar.”

Yadav listed the state’s challenges over the last 20 years: crime, corruption, scams, migration, unemployment, inflation, natural disasters, and the Muzaffarpur shelter‑home case. He said Bihar has suffered under neglect, saying that the only solution is to get rid of the “incompetent, inactive, corrupt, and dictatorial government.”

The leader of the opposition called for a new Chief Minister who is “energetic, youthful, and bold.” He contrasted this with the image of incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying Bihar needs a chief minister who “doesn’t beg with folded hands but roars like a lion for Bihar’s rights.” He added that a new leader should “fiercely confront criminal elements, stamp out corruption, and fulfill Bihar’s dreams of employment, happiness, prosperity, and peace.”

Tejashwi expressed confidence that the INDIA bloc will win and described the upcoming polls as the start of a new, glorious chapter. “This isn’t just an announcement of dates,” he said. “It’s the beginning of a celebration. After 20‑year wait, the grand festival will finally arrive after Diwali and Chhath Puja. On that day, every Bihari will embrace victory with me and become the maker of Bihar’s destiny.”
