She fought back hard in the second set, breaking Snigdha’s serve to take an early 3-1 lead. In the decisive third set, Deepshika took an early lead, but Snigdha fought back to level the score at 3-3. The match hit a high point when Snigdha broke Deepshika’s serve at 4-5, giving her a chance to stay in the game. However, Deepshika kept her cool and closed the set at 7-5, claiming her first major ITF Junior title.

On the boys’ side, Rohith Gobinath dominated his final match, defeating Om Verma in just 87 minutes. The first set was closely fought, with both players holding their serves early on. Rohith’s strong backhand helped him edge out Om 7-5. Carrying this momentum, Rohith pushed ahead in the second set, breaking early to lead 4-1, and then finished it off with a 6-1 score to win the match.

After winning his first ITF Junior title, Rohith Gobinath shared his excitement, saying, “My plan was to attack his serve, and I managed to do that in the first set. I felt in better shape in the second set and played confidently. I’m really happy; this is a huge win for me.”

Deepshika also expressed her happiness about her victory. She said, “Snigdha is a fantastic player, and I just focused on playing my best. In the first set, she was playing incredibly fast, so in the second set, I slowed things down, played my game, and managed to turn things around.”

In the finals results:

Boys’ Singles: Rohith Gobinath beat Om Verma 7-5, 6-1.
Girls’ Singles: Deepshika Vinayagamurthy beat Snigdha Kanta 1-6, 7-6 (3), 7-5.

This tournament showcased the bright future of Indian tennis, with talented young players fighting hard for victory. Fans can look forward to more exciting matches from these rising stars!
