Boman Irani, the popular Bollywood actor, turned up on the second day of FICCI Frames 2025 in Mumbai. The festival, now in its silver‑jubilee year, is the biggest media and entertainment gathering in India.
“Wherever you find people who listen to new writers, it’s a game‑changer,” Irani told . “Many writers spend years polishing a script and rarely get anyone to hear it. FICCI Coins gives them that chance,” he added. The actor praised the event for sparking fresh talent and new stories in the Indian film industry.
FICCI Frames 2025 marks a quarter‑century of celebrations. The event opened yesterday with Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, who was assisted by actor Akshay Kumar for a light‑hearted chat about the film scene. During the launch, Fadnavis spoke about the growth of the film ecosystem, the role of cinema in shaping public sentiment, and the importance of tackling digital warfare through cinema.
When Akshay asked him about a movie that had inspired him, Fadnavis named “Nayak: The Real Hero,” starring Anil Kapoor. He explained how the story echoed the challenges and responsibilities of a chief minister and had a lasting impact on him personally. The chief minister praised Maharashtra’s cultural heritage, calling it the rightful capital of entertainment.
The festival continues to bring filmmakers, writers and industry leaders together, underlining Mumbai’s status as the heart of Bollywood and a hub for storytelling.
