Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep, the host of this season’s “Bigg Boss Kannada,” thanked Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar for quickly lifting a seal that had been placed on the studio where the show is filmed.
Sudeep responded on social media to D K Shivakumar’s post, saying he appreciated the swift support. “I sincerely thank Hon. DK Shivakumar for the timely help. I also thank the authorities for telling everyone that #BBK was not involved in the recent chaos,” he wrote. “I truly appreciate the DCM for promptly acting on my call and thank Nalpad for his efforts. #BBK12 is here to stay.”
The DM said on X that he had asked the Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru South District to remove the seal from the Jollywood studio in Bidadi. He added that the studio would still need to fix environmental violations under guidance from the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB). “Environmental compliance remains a top priority, but we’ll give the studio time to meet norms,” he said.
The sealing happened on Tuesday night after the KSPCB issued a closure order. The temporary shutdown forced all “Bigg Boss” contestants to leave the house and be escorted out. The order came because the studio was reportedly operating without the necessary permits and had not complied with pollution rules.
Sudeep’s message confirms that “Bigg Boss Kannada 12” will resume filming once the issues are cleared. The incident highlights the balance between supporting the Kannada entertainment industry and upholding environmental standards in Bengaluru.
