Mumbai, Oct 9 – Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan told a longtime talk‑show audience how a midnight knife attack in his own home left him, his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, their children and a nanny wounded. The incident, which happened in January 2025, shocked the city and put a spotlight on household safety in Mumbai.

Saif explained that he and Kareena were asleep when the intruder burst into the house around 2 a.m. The attacker forced his way into the bedroom where their younger son Jeh was staying. Saif saw the man standing over Jeh’s bed with a knife and immediately rushed in to protect his family.
He said the intruder had already slashed Jeh’s hand and also injured the nanny as he tried to shoot for more. “I thought I could stop him,” Saif recalled. “I tackled him, and we began a fight. He had two knives, and the blows went across my neck and back.”
