Bengaluru, India – Chevron has celebrated one year of operations at its new ENGINE (Engineering and Innovation Excellence Center) in the Bellandur tech corridor, a 312,000‑square‑foot, LEED‑certified hub that brings together AI‑powered engineering talent and global Chevron resources.
The facility, located in RMZ Ecoworld, was designed to boost collaboration across Chevron’s worldwide projects. Engineers, data scientists and digital innovators work side‑by‑side in a state‑of‑the‑art environment that supports everything from subsurface modelling to monitoring performance in complex processing plants. The center’s AI‑first workforce focuses on centralising and standardising technical delivery, driving efficiency and lower‑carbon outcomes.
“ENGINE is more than a workplace,” said Akshay Sahni, Chevron India’s Country Head. “It fuses India’s deep engineering talent with Chevron’s global experience to meet today’s energy challenges and build tomorrow’s cleaner energy system,” he explained. The team already delivers AI solutions, robotics, holographic experience centers and digital twins that transform how Chevron does business.
Since opening in August 2024, Chevron ENGINE has hired more than 1,000 professionals, highlighting India’s robust engineering and digital capabilities. The center now supports a range of global operations, including site‑specific subsurface simulations and facility‑wide performance analytics.
Chevron, a leading integrated energy company, aims to produce affordable, reliable, and ever‑cleaner energy. It is expanding beyond oil and gas into renewable fuels, carbon capture, hydrogen, and data‑center power generation.
