IndiGo, the low‑cost carrier, just told travelers it will add more flights to the UK. Starting on November 15, Delhi‑Manchester service will rise from four to five weekly flights, and Mumbai‑Manchester will go from three to four flights a week by November 17. The company plans to use its Boeing 787‑9 Dreamliner on these routes, boosting non‑stop capacity to Manchester by 28 percent.

At the same time, Air India has added a fourth daily flight from Delhi to London Heathrow, launching on October 26. This addition lifts the airline’s winter schedule from 24 to 28 weekly flights, freeing 1,196 seats each way every week. Air India will operate the new Delhi‑London hop on its new Airbus A350‑900s and Boeing 787‑9s.

Both airlines announced the changes while Prime Ministers Narendra Modi of India and Keir Starmer of Britain were in India. The leaders reiterated a shared commitment to improve air links and are discussing a renewal of the India‑UK Air Services Agreement. Air India already runs 61 weekly flights between India and the UK, carrying about 18,000 seats a week – roughly 1.7 million seats a year – on routes that include Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, London, Gatwick and Birmingham.

With more flights and newer aircraft, passengers from Delhi and Mumbai will have easier and more frequent access to Manchester and London, strengthening ties and trade between India and the United Kingdom.
