Hollywood actor Channing Tatum is thrilled—and a little nerves—about his daughter Everly’s coming‑of‑age. The 12‑year‑old is stepping into the teenage years, and the star says he’s already noticing big changes.
Tatum appeared on “The Drew Barrymore Show” last week and chuckled that he’s “already seeing changes.” He compared his own parenting to Barrymore’s daughters, saying, “I’ve got 13 and 11 so I’m sandwiching her.” He laughed about a recent escape‑room mishap when Everly yelled at him, a first for the family.
“She used to be opinionated and strong‑willed, but now she’s on a whole different level,” Tatum told PEOPLE magazine. “I got yelled at. I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ Then I saw her eyes go from normal to like shark‑black. It was crazy.”
The actor shares Everly with ex‑wife Jenna Dewan. He also talked about the challenges of balancing a Hollywood career with fatherhood on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Tatum explained that he’s constantly negotiating film choices with his daughter, especially when a big role means weeks apart. “I just had a talk with her on the way to school to discuss how I’ll miss her during the next movie shoot in Australia,” he said.
Tatum’s candid remarks highlight the everyday reality of being a parent to a growing teenager while living the Hollywood dream.
