A 3.5‑magnitude earthquake shook East Kameng in Arunachal Pradesh early Saturday morning, according to India’s National Center for Seismology (NCS). The tremor hit at 8:31 am Indian Standard Time, with its epicenter near 27.52° N latitude and 92.85° E longitude. It was a shallow quake, only about 5 km deep.
NCS said the quake caused no damage and no injuries were reported. The local community only felt a brief shiver, and the region’s infrastructure remains untouched.
