Spanish Ambassador hosts reception in Abu Dhabi to mark his country’s National Day

In Abu Dhabi, Spain’s Ambassador to the UAE, Emilio Pin Godos, kicked off a festive reception on the capital’s National Day. The rally‑up took place inside the gleaming Emirates Palace Hotel, drawing royals, diplomats from the Arab world, Spanish expatriates and local business leaders.
“Spain and the UAE share a long‑standing friendship that has only grown stronger,” Pin Godos said in a warm address. He applauded the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for steering the country toward prosperity.
The ambassador highlighted the steady expansion of ties since Spain and the UAE opened diplomatic relations in 1972. The UAE remains Spain’s top trade partner in the Gulf, and Spain is keen to deepen investments and economic cooperation with the Gulf powerhouse.
