In Bihar, voters will head to the polls in a two‑phase election on November 6 and November 11. Vote counting is scheduled for November 14.
Congress leader Pawan Khera said that any final seat‑sharing deal will come after a meeting. “We’ll announce further seat sharing only after the meeting, but the INDIA bloc will contest all 243 seats together,” he told reporters.
Ak Prasad Singh, another Congress chief, echoed that the seat‑allocation process is almost finished. He added that a few last‑minute hitches still exist, but the final numbers will be announced in the next one to two days.
On the other side, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) front‑runner Tejashwi Yadav promised a government job for every family. “From November 14 onward, we’ll make unemployment a thing of the past in Bihar,” Yadav said.
The election pits the NDA coalition—led by the BJP and Janata Dal (United) (JDU)—against the INDIA bloc. INDIA includes the Congress, RJD, CPI‑ML, CPI, CPM and the Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP).
Political strategist Prashant Kishor also claims he can win all 243 seats. The coming contest is shaping India’s political narrative.
