In Kishanganj, Bihar, political strategist turned Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor didn’t hold back during his speech at the ‘Bihar Badlav Ijlas’ on Sunday. Speaking to a packed crowd at Anjuman Islamia Ground, he fired sharp criticism at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Mahagathbandhan leaders, calling out their tactics to win Muslim votes in Bihar elections.
Kishor accused them of scaring the Muslim community with BJP threats just to grab votes. “These leaders only wave the fear of BJP to get Muslim support,” he said. “If they really cared about Muslims, why haven’t they built schools, universities, or jobs for Muslim kids in places like Kishanganj over the last 30 years? Show me one major education or employment push they’ve made here!”
He took his attack to the media too, predicting a tough time for the JD(U) in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. “JD(U) won’t even cross 25 seats this time,” Kishor declared confidently. “Remember how I predicted BJP wouldn’t go beyond 100 seats in West Bengal? The same thing will happen here.”
Boosting his own party’s momentum, Kishor revealed that over 1.25 crore people have joined the Jan Suraaj Yatra so far, with a huge chunk from the Muslim community in Bihar. “Muslims have been the backbone of Jan Suraaj’s connection with people,” he added. He even took a dig at RJD’s lantern election symbol, saying, “Muslims kept that lantern burning for RJD, but now its light is fading fast.”
Kishor urged the Muslim community to shake off their fears. “Don’t fear anyone except Allah,” he told them directly, pushing for unity beyond politics.
He didn’t spare the BJP either, pointing out that the party only gets votes from about 40% of Hindus. “The other half of Hindus still follow the ideas of Gandhi, Ambedkar, Lohia, socialism, and even communism—they’ll never back BJP,” Kishor explained. “If these Hindus team up with the 20% Muslim population, that powerful alliance can easily defeat BJP in Bihar and beyond.”
This fiery speech has sparked buzz in Bihar politics, with many eyes on how it plays out in the Bihar elections ahead.
