Ahmedabad, Oct 14 – Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani said on Tuesday that the company will partner with Google to build the biggest AI data‑centre campus in India at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The joint venture, AdaniConneX, will work with Google on a project that also includes new green‑energy infrastructure.
The head of the Adani Group said the campus will house Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) and Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) that power deep‑learning work, neural‑network training and large AI‑model inference. The new facility will create an ecosystem that speeds up AI solutions in key sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, logistics and finance.
“We’re proud to build the engine driving India’s AI revolution and give our brightest minds the tools to solve big problems,” Adani said in a post on X.
Google will invest about $15 billion over five years (2026‑2030) to set up the hub. The project will include high‑capacity data‑centre operations, robust subsea‑cable networks and clean‑energy supply so the campus can handle India’s most demanding AI workloads. Airtel and other partners will support the build‑out.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, said the partnership will bring Google’s cutting‑edge resources closer to communities and customers. He added that the new hub will deliver the performance, security and scalability needed for companies to innovate on a global stage.
