Afghanistan’s opener Ibrahim Zadran was fined 15 percent of his match fee after a Level 1 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct in the final ODI against Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi.

The fine followed a violation of Article 2.2, which covers abuse of cricket equipment or ground fixtures. In the 37th over, Zadran, frustrated after being dismissed, struck equipment near the team area on his way back to the dressing room. Match officials said his action broke the code, which protects respect and discipline on and off the field.

ICC rules state Level 1 breaches can lead to a warning, a fine up to 50 percent of a player’s fee, and one or two demerit points. Zadran received one demerit point and a 15 percent fine. This is his first offence in 24 months, so no further punishment will follow unless he commits another breach soon. The ICC said Zadran accepted the sanction without a formal hearing.

Afghanistan finished the three‑match series with a historic 3‑0 sweep, sealing a 200‑run win in the final game. Rashid Khan and Azmatullah Omarzai were key performers, and Zadran had already earned Player of the Series honors for his batting before the closing match.
