Los Angeles — October 16, 2025 – Pop icon Jennifer Lopez shared her honest thoughts about love on the “Howard Stern Show.” The 56‑year‑old actress‑singer, famous for her roles in “The Love Song” and “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” talked with 71‑year‑old broadcaster Stern about her past relationships and what she has learned about true affection.
When Stern asked, “Have you ever been truly loved?” Lopez responded, “No.” She went on to explain that while her former partners met her material needs—rings, houses, a mortgage—the emotional connection never came. “They gave me everything I could want, but it was missing in love.” She added that the issue, she believes, was her lack of self‑love at the time.
Lopez has been married and divorced four times, most recently to film star Ben Affleck. She shares twins Max and Emme, 17, with ex‑husband Marc Anthony. After her last divorce, she says the breakup was “the best thing that ever happened to me.” It forced her to dive into therapy, marriage counseling and a religious coach. “It was a journey to understand myself,” she says. “I had to figure this out for my own good.”
