Yogi Adityanath, the outspoken chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, officially launched his campaign for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections on Thursday. Speaking at a packed rally in Danapur, he drew a strong emotional link between his home state and Bihar, saying the two share “one soul, one culture.” The message was clear: leave the bad politics of the past.

The Uttar Pradesh leader slammed the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for what he called “jungle raj” and nepotism that have left the state plagued by crime and stalled progress. He reminded voters that from 1990 to 2005, Bihar suffered under a leadership that hurt its reputation and created an identity crisis among its youth. He promised that the NDA government has been working for two decades to restore dignity and guide Bihar toward solid development.

Yogi urged voters to support a transparent election and warned that the opposition bloc—known as the INDIA alliance—has a hidden agenda to rig ballots and undermine growth. He claimed that Uttar Pradesh has already cracked down on mafia rule, confiscated property, and built homes for the poor, and said a similar record must continue in Bihar. He called on the people to bring the NDA back to power to finish what has been started.

After Danapur, Yogi addressed a crowd in Saharsa and intensified his attack on the opposition. He said Congress and RJD have never put the poor’s welfare front and center, focusing only on family interests. The chief minister challenged the two parties’ alliance, accusing them of betraying the ideals of Jayaprakash Narayan and threatening a return to the old corrupt ways. Voters in this key election are urged to choose a party that will deliver fairness, development and secure their future.
