Chennai – The debut film Dude is set to hit theaters on Friday, and director Keerthiswaran is sharing a heartfelt thank‑you to everyone who helped bring the project to life.
On his social‑media pages, the filmmaker posted a long note of gratitude, calling himself “Feeling grateful.” He congratulated actor Pradeep Ranganathan – his co‑star and “hero” – for the trust in Keerthiswaran and urged audiences to see the movie from its opening day.
The director then turned to his producers, Naveen and Ravi, for “unwavering support and encouragement,” and praised their belief in his talent. He singled out the director‑of‑photography Niketh Bommi, calling him “a brother, a shoulder, a rock” and saying that everyone deserves a Niketh in their life.
Keerthiswaran also thanked music director Sai Abhyankkar, supporting cast members Sarath Kumar, Mamitha Baiju and Rohini, and names that’ve shaped his filmmaking journey – including the late legendary actors and directors Vadivelu, Vikraman, and even directors abroad such as Hitchcock, Billy Wilder and Bong Joon‑ho. He also noted that actor Rajinikanth and composer A. R. Rahman have taught him valuable lessons about cinema.
When asked about the film itself, Keerthiswaran described Dude as “entertaining, emotional, quirky, original,” made straight from the heart with a clear aesthetic. He added that the movie is not simply about love, but about “the right to love.” He hopes viewers will enjoy the story.
With a mix of sincerity and excitement, Keerthiswaran invites fans to discover Dude this Friday – a fresh romantic entertainer from Chennai that promises to deliver a powerful message about love and freedom.
