Panchkula –
Haryana’s Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh, highlighted that the state signed more than Rs 5,000 crore in memoranda of understanding (MoU) during his two‑day trip to Japan. He said the “Narendra Modi model” of governance is delivering on promises not only in Haryana but across India.
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the CM said, “key ‘sankalps’ or promises are consistently fulfilled in the state.” He added that Haryana is steadily progressing on its development path.
Addressing reporters on the sidelines, the CM explained that he is heading to Bihar for an upcoming campaign. “People there have seen what Congress rule can do in Bihar and Punjab,” he told the media, “and now they want real development.” He also said that both the Congress and, now, the Aam Aadmi Party got elected in Punjab on false promises and that voters will respond in 2027.
When asked about opposition leaders teasing his laughter, Singh said the opposition has no real issues left and that they either resort to protests or make such remarks. He smiled, saying that “the people of the state are happy.” “Laughter is good for health,” he added.
During his Japan visit, the CM noted that several Japanese companies expressed interest in investing in Haryana. “Everyone I met praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his policies,” he said, drawing an analogy from the Mahabharata.
On Dhanteras, he congratulated the people of Haryana, announcing that teahls will remain open. “Officials and officers will be available for plot registrations for beneficiaries,” he said.
When reporters asked about the recent cases involving deceased IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar and Assistant Sub‑Inspector Sandeep, Singh described both incidents as unfortunate. He said the Chandigarh Police will investigate one case and the Haryana Police the other. “The state government will not allow injustice to any family and we are confident the investigations will uncover the truth,” he assured.
