Aanand L Rai on Dhanush in ‘Tere Ishk Mein’: After our last film, there were emotions we never fully let go off
Mumbai, November 1 – Director Aanand L Rai and actor Dhanush have teamed up again for the new Hindi‑Tamil romance “Tere Ishk Mein.” The two said the film was born from an unfinished idea that kept resurfacing, sparking a conversation about how love changes as people grow older.
Rai revealed that after their previous project, “Atrangi Re,” he and Dhanush kept revisiting the same space: what happens to love when innocence fades and time shifts the people involved. “Tere Ishk Mein” grew from that unfinished thought, he explained. The film is not just another love story; it’s a look at characters who are older, scarred, and still searching for meaning.
The cast rolls out a familiar lineup. Dhanush joins Kriti Sanon, while music returns to A.R. Rahman with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar of T‑Series and Rai’s own Colour Yellow banner. The score, a blend of Rahman’s compositions, his own vocal talent, and Kamil’s poetry, is expected to take over playlists once the film drops.
A teaser debuted on October 1, promising an emotional ride full of passion, pain, and a love that feels destined to stay unfinished. The title track unveiled on October 18 already shows the film’s intensity—an intense, love‑driven tale of loss, longing, and unspoken sorrow between the two leads.
“Tere Ishk Mein” will hit cinemas worldwide on November 28 in both Hindi and Tamil. With a strong creative team and an emotional storyline, the film aims to keep audiences thinking long after the credits roll.
