Following the deadly blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, Rajasthan has moved to a high‑alert stance.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said he was “deeply saddened” by the incident and offered condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. “This explosion is extremely tragic and painful,” he told reporters. “May God grant peace to the departed and a speedy recovery to the injured.”
In response, the state’s security forces are on full alert. The Director General of Police, Rajiv Kumar Sharma, ordered all police units across Rajasthan to maintain heightened vigilance and to deploy extra troops in public spaces.
He instructed Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police to keep a close eye on busy spots—railway stations, bus stands, malls, religious sites and other crowded areas. Bomb‑disposal teams are to stay on standby, and patrols will increase in major cities and towns.
“Every CCTV feed must be monitored for suspicious activity, and our social‑media teams should keep an eye on rumors and misinformation,” the DGP added. All regional police heads must enforce these measures strictly.
In Jaipur, Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal has stepped up security checks and patrols. Police are combing hotels, guest houses, and dharamshalas to spot anyone raising red flags. The city’s checkpoints and blockades are tighter now, and surveillance cameras are running 24/7 in sensitive areas.
Authorities urge residents to stay calm but alert. If you spot anything suspicious, report it immediately to your nearest police station or dial 100.
