Flag hoisting will take place on Ram Temple Shikhara on Nov 25, PM to attend: Champat Rai

New Delhi, Nov 15 – The city of Ay odhya is gearing up for a historic religious celebration. On Tuesday, November 25 2025, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will hoist a saffron flag on the spire of the new Ram Temple, marking the traditional wedding day of Lord Ram.

Champat Rai, the Trust’s general secretary, confirmed the date and said the flag‑hoisting will attract thousands of visitors. “The event will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he added. He assured that the local administration is ready to manage the crowds and has planned the schedule for visiting dignitaries.

The PM is expected to leave the town around 2 p.m., a move that officials say will not disrupt the public. “We are full of confidence that this festive schedule will run smoothly,” Rai said.

Ay odhya’s preparations are reaching a new level of grandeur. All subsidiary temples—dedicated to Lord Mahadev, Ganesh, Hanuman, Suryadev, Maa Bhagwati, Annapurna and Sheshavatar—will be lavishly decorated along with the main Ram Temple. The team has been working for weeks to create a visually stunning and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

A total of 108 Acharyas from Ay odhya, Kashi and South India will perform the rites under the guidance of celebrated Kashi scholar Ganeshwar Shastri. The flag, rich saffron and emblazoned with a sun symbol, will signify eternal energy, divine light and the virtues associated with Lord Ram.

Earlier this week, Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra briefed reporters on progress. “We are focused on the Prime Minister’s programme and are preparing the temple site for his visit,” Mishra said. “Most of the construction is finished. We’re now beautifying the premises and planting trees.”

Mishra highlighted that the main temple and six subsidiary shrines are complete. For the flag‑hoisting, defense experts are reviewing technical details to ensure the ceremony on November 25 is flawless.

With the ceremony on the horizon, Ay odhya’s residents and visitors alike look forward to a day that melds tradition, faith, and community spirit.
