The film “Parasakthi” is moving closer to a theatrical release after its star‑cast and crew have completed key post‑production work.
On Tuesday, the makers announced that Sreeleela, who plays a pivotal role, has started dubbing her lines. The production house, Dawn Pictures, posted the news on X, saying, “Her own voice, on the big screen. @sreeleela14 starts dubbing for #Parasakthi – Get set for the grand arrival in theatres on January 14th.” A short clip of her recording session was shared with fans.
Only a week earlier, actor Ravi Mohan—who portrays the film’s antagonist—began his dubbing work. The team wrapped up shooting earlier this year, with the final schedule finishing in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, in August. Earlier phases of the film were shot in Madurai, Sri Lanka, and Pollachi, with Sivakarthikeyan joining the crew in the later stage of production.
“Parasakthi” has been generating buzz among movie lovers. The period drama, set in the 1960s in the city of Madras (now Chennai), follows a young student leader’s (Sivakarthikeyan) fight against an oppressive system. A teaser released by the team shows the character walking through Pachaiyappa’s College, rallying peers for a protest. The villain, played by Ravi Mohan, is hinted to have a personal vendetta against the protagonist.
The film is the 25th project of Sivakarthikeyan, a role that earned it the nickname #SK25. Music is scored by G V Prakash, cinematography is handled by Ravi K. Chandran, and action sequences are choreographed by Supreme Sundar.
Fans can expect the grand opening in cinemas on January 14, following the full release plan set by the production team.
