Nishant Kumar, Nitish Kumar’s son, will be present at the ceremony. He is expected to arrive at Gandhi Maidan, the historic site in Patna where the oath‑taking will take place. In a video that spread quickly on social media, Nishant met his father at the CM’s residence earlier in the day and thanked the people of Bihar for their trust. “I sincerely thank the people of Bihar for the trust they have placed in my father,” he said. “I also congratulate all our NDA allies on their victory.” He added that the people’s blessings have strengthened the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and that he will personally welcome guests at the event.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the ceremony, along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and several other ministers. Chief Ministers from neighbouring states are also expected to be present, making it a high‑profile gathering.
On Tuesday, Nitish Kumar toured Gandhi Maidan to inspect the preparations, joined by senior NDA leaders Samrat Chaudhary and Nitin Naveen, as well as key officials such as Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit, Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, and others who oversee the arrangements. The officials aim to ensure the ceremony runs smoothly and with grand style.
Estimates suggest that around 300,000 people could attend the swearing‑in ceremony, reflecting the large public interest in Bihar’s politics. With the NDA’s strong mandate and the presence of national leaders, the event promises to be a significant moment for the state’s electorate and for the political landscape of eastern India.
