NJ ‘MAGA mom’ reveals the moment she discovered viral ‘Nipplegate’ text scandal: ‘They actually wanted me dead’

A school‑board member from Marlboro, New Jersey, who is an outspoken Trump supporter, recently revealed that she was taken aback when she discovered her own conservative leanings had sparked a dark online group chat called “This Bitch Needs To Die.”

Danielle Bellomo—mother to three kids—is the target of a barrage of menacing texts that circulated in a group chat featuring several candidates running for the local school board. The chat also included a man linked to the “Nipplegate” incident that had targeted her.

In a disturbing exchange, Mitesh Gandhi—a husband of a fellow board member—dropped the name “a lying c–t” on Bellomo and ended his line with, “Mission is to just let her die by herself lol.” A court in Monmouth County soon extended a temporary restraining order against Gandhi after the humiliating messages blew up online.

Bellomo said the moment she read the texts chilled her to the core. “When I read those words, ‘She can’t die soon enough,’ it stopped me in my tracks,” she told Fox News Digital. “I never imagined they would actually want me dead.”

Two candidates later withdrew from the race after the scandal broke. Another highly‑publicized message, part of what was dubbed “Nipplegate,” appeared to show former board hopeful Scott Semaya typing “Bellomo must be cold – her nips could cut glass right n” during a public meeting, with his finger positioned on the “o” key.

Bellomo, who has volunteered for over a decade across Marlboro’s schools, said her aim in running for the board was to strengthen community ties and advocate for parents, not to become a target because of political differences.

“I got involved in the school boards because I’m an active volunteer in our community. I’ve been involved with the parent organization that I account for going on 12 years,” she recounted to the outlet. “So I saw the school board as the next step in furthering my involvement in the community, and I wanted it to enhance my children’s educational experience while they were in the K‑3 district. I never imagined that it would lead to this.”

The threats did more than just shatter her sense of safety—they frightened her children. “My son is almost a teenager. He used to go places with his friends — now he asks if someone is going to come to our house,” she explained. “My 8‑year‑old cries if she thinks I have a board meeting. My youngest keeps asking if I’m safe.”

Her oldest son, a middle‑schooler, was humiliated after seeing screenshots of men insulting his mother’s body. “That was humiliating for him,” Bellomo said. “His friends saw it. It has affected everything.”

“I’ve been dealing with online sniping in this midsize town about 40 miles southwest of New York City. But the widely publicized text chat takes this to a new, disturbing level,” she added. “When I realized there wasn’t just one but two separate messages—from a group chat titled ‘This B—‑needs to die’ and another outlining a ‘mission to watch me die or to have me die alone’—it just escalated the situation.”

While a protective order was granted on her behalf, Bellomo found no similar success on the criminal front. The Marlboro Police Department forwarded the matter to county prosecutors, who chose not to file charges.

“I was disheartened but not surprised,” she said. “We have a Democrat prosecutor. The police recommended charges, but he didn’t follow through.”

The Monmouth prosecutor’s office had previously stated that the allegations did not meet the threshold for an indictable offense.

Bellomo also criticized district principal Dr. Michael Ballone and Board President Brian Cohen for seemingly doing nothing about the situation. “MTPS takes the safety and security of all board members, staff, students, and families extremely seriously,” Ballone wrote to Fox News Digital. “Administration has responded accordingly to Mrs. Bellomo’s concerns, including her expressions of feeling unsafe by working with the Marlboro Police Department, the entity responsible for ensuring all Marlboro residents (including Board members) are protected.” He added that internal safety protocols had been updated, though he could not reveal specifics.

The shocking incident sparked a wave of support messages from women who said the experience would deter them from pursuing public office. “They say, ‘I could never go through what you’re going through,’” Bellomo told the outlet. “That’s heartbreaking. Local government should not require you to put your family at risk.”

She spoke of how her routine changed overnight, keeping her children home from schools and community events and asking her husband to check for anyone who shouldn’t be in their house before she left.

Despite everything, Bellomo insists she will remain on the board. “I absolutely want to continue,” she said. “This mission is too important. I hope the district eventually implements the policies that are supposed to protect us.”
