Two state ministers to sit in party HQs for better coordination: MP BJP

Bhopal, Dec 1 (LatestNewsX) – In an effort to improve coordination between the state BJP and its grassroots cadre, the party has decided that two cabinet ministers will be on hand at the party office for a minimum of two hours each day.

The move followed a recent meeting that brought together Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, State BJP Chief and Betul MLA Hemant Khandelwal, along with other senior organisers. It is the first time such a practice has been put into place, and implementation kicked off on Monday, almost two weeks before the CM‑led BJP government reaches its two‑year milestone on December 13.

From Monday to Friday, the two ministers will be available at the headquarters in Bhopal between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda, who also runs the Finance Ministry, and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Employment, Gautam Tetwal, visited the office earlier in the week to meet and discuss matters with party workers.

Speaking to LatestNewsX late on Monday evening, State BJP Chief Khandelwal explained the rationale: “The point is to foster better coordination between the ministers and the party workers and to truly understand each policy. A deep grasp of any scheme will help workers explain it when they meet the public.”

He added that he had pitched the idea to CM Yadav, who not only agreed but also insisted it be rolled out immediately. According to Khandelwal, the initiative will not only improve alignment between ministers and cadres but also create a healthier atmosphere within the party office.

A similar concept had been suggested earlier during the tenure of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and former State BJP Chief V.D. Sharma, but it never materialised. The current leadership duo—CM Yadav and Khandelwal—has now set the plan in motion without delay.
