Two men slashed by machete-wielding attacker at NYC subway station: cops
On Sunday afternoon, two men were attacked with a machete at the West Farm Square–East Tremont Avenue subway station in the Bronx. Police received a 911 call for an assault around 4:40 p.m. When officers arrived, they found an unidentified assailant brandishing a large knife and slashing the victims.
One victim, a 44‑year‑old man, sustained a deep cut on his wrist, while a 32‑year‑old was mauled in the face and had his phone snatched during the attack. Both men were rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition.
No arrests have been made, and the attacker remains at large. Police say the investigation is still active.
